Terry and Ed Crispell have accentuated their beautiful two-story home in the southeast valley with a combination of both Rolladen Rolling Shutters and the company’s new line of Bahama Shutters.
The Bahamas grace 16 upstairs and downstairs windows of their 5,200 square-foot residence.
“We had seen the Bahamas on homes in Southern California,“ Mrs. Crispell explained. “I liked that they really finished off a home. They provided privacy and looked architecturally pleasing.”
Mrs. Crispell said many of her neighbors have stopped to comment about the Bahamas shutters.
“They get unbelievable attention,” she said. “Since our home is on the corner, the Bahamas make our home like a showpiece. They were the finishing touch to our home.”
The Crispells have been in Southern Nevada for more than four decades, and the Bahamas have been well-received since first being introduced by Rolladen about six years ago.
“We had never seen Bahamas in Las Vegas,” Mrs. Crispell said. “I called to talk with (company vice president) Bianca Minnozzi and she said they had put some on some homes near us.”
Mrs. Crispell praised the service provided by Rolladen.
“It was excellent,” she said. “They return your phone calls and they are pleasant. After the measurements were made, they followed up quickly. The installer was very talented and dedicated. We couldn’t be happier.”
Bahama Shutters are large louvered panels attached just above the window and held away from the house by two support rods. The shutters are permanently mounted to the side of the house. They combine form with function with an island flare to protect windows from the harsh Southern Nevada sunlight and flying golf balls. They are made of maintenance free aluminum and allow for privacy and sun control without sacrificing fresh air or the view of the outdoors.
The Crispells also have rolling shutters on 16 doors and windows.
“They have been a big help with the intense heating beating on the windows,” Mrs. Crispell explained. “Our power bill has dropped significantly since we had them installed six months ago.”
Mrs. Crispell has recommended Rolladen to several friends and acquaintances.
“We have recommended both of the products,” she said.
Rolladen Rolling Shutters was first opened more than 22 years ago by Fran Minnozzi, who still oversees company operations.
The business now includes two locations, one at 6168 W. Charleston Blvd., and the latest at 4405 Wagon Trail Ave., near Arville and Sunset roads.
Both locations are open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
