Las Vegas woman loves her Rolladen Rolling Shutters 

Las Vegas resident Pat Catterton had Rolladen Rolling Shutters installed on an east-facing sliding glass door.

Pat Catterton had Rolladen Rolling Shutters installed on an east-facing rear sliding glass door of her home and she is so delighted with the product and the service she received that she can not wait to have more added to her residence.

Catterton said the main reason for having the shutters installed was for security. She remembered that her home in another city was burglarized during the middle of the day and she still recalls vividly what happened.

 “You never forget when you’re burglarized,” she said. “It happened to our home in the early-morning hours. It’s like an invasion of your privacy.”

She also discovered that Rolladens block the intense early-morning sunlight.

 “I just love it and it looks really good,” she said. “My neighbor came and looked at the door and was impressed and would like to have something like that on hers also.”

Catterton lauded the service provided by the company.

 “He did a wonderful job,” she said of her installer. “He is a wonderful person and very, very nice. He is a pleasure to work with.

 “I am so pleased that I had this done. I wish that I had done it a long time ago. I’m anxious to get an estimate to have them added to the rest of home. The Rolladens are very good looking.

 “They are quiet and keep the hot sun out. They are wonderful.”

Rolladens are foam-filled aluminum slats used to cover doors and windows. Industry representatives say the shutters lower power consumption as much as 64 percent. In addition, they deter burglars while also blocking cold, wind, dust and noise.

Each home or business is custom measured for the Rolladens, which can be operated manually or by remote control. Installation is usually done about four to six weeks after measurements have been taken.

The shutters are available in an assortment of colors. They are also covered by a three-year warranty for the parts and one year on labor.

Rolladen personnel have urged customers to have the rolling shutters installed soon to beat the rush affiliated with the summer months.

Rolling shutters have been a part of commercial and residential construction in Europe for more than 100 years. In fact, more people in Europe have Rolladens than they do drivers licenses.

Rolladen now has two offices, one at 6168 W. Charleston Blvd. Its newest location is situated at 4405 Wagon Trail Ave., near Sunset and Arville roads in the southwest valley.

Each office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and by appointment on Saturday.
