Dee and Diane Demanett have joined a long list of happy customers at Anthem in the southeast valley who have Rolladen Rolling Shutters.
The couple saw the rolling shutters on their neighbor’s home before heading to the Rolladen showroom for further information. They had Rolladens installed on 17 doors and windows of their 2,600 square-foot home last August.
“I wanted to be able to control the window openings,” explained Mrs. Demanett. “This way, I can have the entire window or close it at my descression.
“I’m sold on them. I’d put them on again in a heartbeat. It’s like day and night with Rolladens.”
The Demanetts had their Rolladens installed with remote control for their East-faced home. They had another home in Anthem where they chose another window product before selecting Rolladen for their current residence.
“They cover so much,” Mrs. Demanett said. “When you shut them down, you don’t hear as much either. They go down every night.”
Mrs. Demanett also praised the Rolladen installation.
Rolladen first custom measures each residence or business before building the shutters locally with parts from Europe. Installation usually takes 4-6 weeks after the measurements have been taken.
The rolling shutters are foam-filled slats used to cover doors and windows. They can be operated manually, electrically or by remote control.
First introduced more than 100 years ago in Europe, the shutters are also used extensively in the southeastern United States to protect residences and businesses during the hurricane seasons.
The shutters are used for various reasons in Southern Nevada including protection from burglary, intense sunlight, wind, cold and heat. Company spokesmen say the shutters lower power consumption as much as 64 percent while also helping ease problems with noise generated near busy roadways.
Additionally, the shutters have been used more lately as homeowners protect residences situated along golf courses from errant golf balls.
The company was opened locally in 1984.
The Rolladen showroom is situated at 6168 W. Charleston Blvd., just west of Jones. It is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. |
